Soft Drink Instructions

Quick Start for the 12-Ounce        Soft Drink Machine

Installing the CO2 Cylinder

Press the white lever located behind the water outlet nozzle and        lift off the top of the machine.  Screw the cylinder into the machine by turning clockwise. Once it gets started threading on, it should spin on easily.  Screw the cylinder in place until it is hand tight (snug).  Do not tighten it very tight, just snug.   Put your machine back         together.

Changing the CO2 bottle in the machine when it gets empty

Behind where the water comes out of the machine is a latch.  Press       the latch in with one hand while gripping the top of the machine       with the other.  Pull the top of the machine apart from its base.  If       this seems difficult you can push up on the bottom of the CO2         bottle from under the machine while pressing the latch in.  Un-        screw the CO2 bottle by turning it counter clockwise.  Once the       bottle is off, make sure the black rubber washer that is in where the bottle screws into the machine stayed in there and did not come out with the bottle.  If it did, put the washer back in by pushing it in       with a finger. Screw the full cylinder in place until it is hand tight (snug).  Do not tighten it very tight, just snug.  Threading the       cylinder on too tightly will cause the rubber washer to ware out         and get stuck to your bottle when you remove it.  Put your machine back together.

Remove the Drip Tray from the top of your machine

The drip tray, which fits into the hole at the bottom of your machine under where the water comes out, is stored in the top of   your machine.  There is also a round plastic or cardboard item that         keeps the top carbonating button from getting pushed down thus       leaking out the CO2 while the machine is in transit.  Whenever you       take the machine out of your house put the drip tray  back into the       top for storage.  Keep the cardboard or plastic item to put between your drip tray (it fits in the groves of the tray)  and the carbonating       lid while in transit.

Installing the Pumps

At the bottom end of the pump is an extender.  Your pumps are       made to fit most of our containers.  Without the extender, the pump       does not reach all the way to the bottom of the container.  The       extender may need to be cut to the proper length.  Cut at a slight       angle so as not to create suction from the bottle.  Each full pump       of concentrate measures 1 ounce.

Making Carbonated Drinks

Use all the carbonated water for a full size drink

Soda Pop:  Use 1 pump of concentrate for half size drink or 2       pumps for a full 12-ounce drink.

Flavored Soda Pop:  Add 4 - 8 drops of essence to the soda pop       after the soda is made.

Sparkling Juices:  Use frozen concentrate purchased at the store.  Thaw it out and put it in a flask.  Keep it refrigerated when not in       use.  Use 3 - 4 ounces of concentrate for a full size drink.

Naturally Flavored Sodas:  Use 1 pump of concentrate for a full       size drink.  Then adjust to taste.  You can use as little as 1/4 pump       or as much as 2 pumps.

Italian Sodas:  Use ¾ to 1 ½ pumps of syrup purchased at the       store or at a coffee shop for a full size drink.

Combination Drinks:  Combine flavors to blend 2 flavors               together or add just enough of a flavor to slightly flavor the drink           of your choice (ex. Vanilla Coke, Lime Coke, Chocolate Coke, Strawberry 7 Up, and Raspberry Lemonade).

Tea: Use 1 1/2 pumps of concentrate for a full size drink.  Then       adjust to taste.

Flavored Sparkling Water:  Add 4 - 8 drops of essence to the carbonated water.

Plain Sparkling Water:  Just carbonate the water and enjoy.

Non-Carbonated Cold Drinks

Many of our concentrates and flavors can be enjoyed       by just adding the flavor to cold water.

Non-Carbonated Hot Drinks

Ideas:  Hot tea, and hot lemon  water.

SO EASY TO USE - MACHINE INSTRUCTIONS

1.  Fill with cold water from the refrigerator

Open lid and fill to the bottom of built in cup to where the pouring hole is.  It holds 10 ounces of water. If a little extra water gets poured in and the cup is up to 1/2 full, don't be concerned. This water in the filling cup will not get carbonated but will blend in with the rest of your drink and you will not know any difference in taste. However if you fill that cup to the brim this then will make a weak tasting drink and it is best to drain some water out by pressing the water release lever down before you carbonate. Use only refrigerator cold water.  Never pour anything into the water chamber but water! All other ingredients always go into your cup. Close the lid. If you can not pour water into the machine because the water chamber is closed off, do not poke the water chamber open with anything! Instead press the water release lever down (step 3) to release the pressure and it will automatically open.

2.  Push to carbonate

Press raised knob on top down firmly until you can not push down any farther.  Let go of the knob.  Then press the knob once more holding it down until you hear the peak of the crescendo. Train your ear to properly carbonate. Learn to release the button at the peak of the crescendo just right as you hear the CO2 escape through the nose of the machine. Continuing to hold the button down will waist CO2. For heavier carbonation, after carbonating press the button down and quickly release it 1 to 4 additional times to make a super carbonated drink. For less carbonation in your drink, learn where on the crescendo to let go of the button so it is perfect for you. Once you have released the button after carbonating you may hear a slight release of CO2 hissing out of the nose or escaping out as you press the water release lever in the next step. Both of these releases are-normal.

Some people have difficulty hearing the crescendo referred to above.  Another method to carbonate is the pumping method.  Simply push the carbonating button down firmly all the way, release the button and repeat two to nine times and stop pumping when you hear the machine release some CO2 from the nose.  Each time you push the carbonating button down release it, do not hold it down.

Your machine operates on the pressure in the CO2 cylinder.  When your cylinder is full it will carbonate much quicker than it will when the cylinder is almost empty.

3.  Put concentrate in glass, dispense … enjoy!

Hold the bottom edge of your glass down on the ledge to the side of the drip tray under outlet nozzle at a slight angle so that the carbonated water will drop into the glass hitting its side at the midpoint of the glass. Straighten the glass up as it fills. This enables the water to enter the glass with a swirling motion and mix with the concentrate without having to stir the drink.
